I have always loved capturing the special bond between families and this session is at the top of my list. My good friend Amanda gave me a call a few weeks back and we planned out a fun portrait session for her and 6 year old, Alana, here in Greensboro, NC.
I have been a Greensboro family portrait photographer since 2004 and love the many parks and interesting locations this town has to offer. I met Amanda and Alana at the Greensboro Arboretum which is a personal favorite for its year round immaculate landscaping and flower installations. I particularly love the hasta garden the most because of the beautiful backdrop for my photographs. Alana was a bit nervous at the beginning, but I made a point to chat with her first and feel comfortable. Ten minutes into the session she was full on personality and we had a blast creating these fun memories.
After the park we went back to my studio so they could change outfits and reapply make up and such in my hair and makeup room. Alana got the royal treatment and had smiles the entire time. We then hit downtown Greensboro and got awesome images utilizing the old brick building, murals and other cool features that I have found through the years of photography. My previous studio space was on S Elm St and know all the good spots, on and off the beaten path.
I am grateful to have been in the photography world and owning my own business for 16 years now and love building the relationships. Amanda posted some of her favorites on Facebook and received over 500 likes/loves.
