Anna and James were married a few weeks ago at Tot Hill Farm, a golf course and perfect wedding venue located in Asheboro, NC. We had a amazing weather day which allowed us to utilize the barn for the reception and the ability to have the ceremony under the massive oak tree, as well as take the couple around the course golf for some amazing sunset photos.
I have been a Triad based wedding photographer for many years now serving Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem and surrounding areas since 2004. I always accept the opportunity to drive a bit further than the immediate area and throughout North Carolina for my wedding couples. I met Anna a few months back for a wedding consultation at my studio and we had a great discussion about the event and how she wanted it to be relaxed and low key. I was sure to provide a more candid, or in the moment, approach when photographing this event.
I arrived to Tot Hill Farm about an hour before the ceremony to capture some venue details and an important set of images which included a gift exchange from the groom, James, to his two daughters. He gifted them a string of pearls to wear at the wedding and the expressions on the girls' faces were priceless!
After the family photo portion we all enjoyed some catered BBQ and cut the cake. As the afternoon progressed, I kept an eye on the sunset and the ideal window of time to take Anna and James out on the golf course for some epic sunset photos. We took some golf carts down the street to a nature preserve and walked a hiking trial to a little bridge over a stream for our first location and then headed back to the course for some other great backdrops to use. We specifically went to hole #3 which is a par 3 with cool rock work near the tee box and lush grass all around.
Congrats to Anna and James on their beautiful wedding day and it was an honor to be there and capture all the special life moments! Micciche Photography celebrates 17 years in business and serving the greater Triad area of North Carolina and beyond.
