I received a call a few weeks back from a new client that found us online and he had an amazing wedding proposal idea and I gladly took on the challenge. Daniel wanted to proposed to Rachael at Moores Knob which is at the top of Hanging Rock State Park in Danbury, North Carolina.
We spoke on the phone about logistics and he quickly said the hike up the trail is extreme and wanted to make sure I was in good shape to hike up the mountain. I gladly said yes to the challenge as I have been an avid backpacker most of my life. I hit the trail about an hour before they did which allowed me to find the peak he wanted to propose at and proceeded to set up my gear. This concept was all about the surprise factor, so I pretended to be a nature photographer when they arrived at Moores Knob. I then documented the entire proposal in the moment and captured some awesome scenes. Check out some of my favorites from the shoot.
I was grateful for amazing weather that day and this is truly one of my favorite gigs in recent memory. To be there and document this special day in Daniel and Rachael's lives makes me appreciate what I get to do everyday which is to document the moment in a candid and artistic manner. Congrats to this awesome couple.
