Summerfield Farms is the premier wedding and event venue space here in Summerfield, North Carolina and one of my favorite venues to photograph.
I have been photographing weddings all over NC and beyond since 2004 and love partnering with venues and fellow wedding vendors on referrals. I was introduced to Ashley and Mike by ABBA Design as we do a lot of work together and appreciate the referral.
I provided an initial zoom call for their consultation because they live out of town and they did book my studio for their event coming up this October. We planned this fun engagement session to be captured this past June and had a beautiful weather day!
I did find out they are avid hikers and backpackers, as am I, and was sure to incorporate that into their shoot. We started at the iconic tree at Summerfield Farms where most of the ceremonies take place. Then worked our way down the gravel path to one of the few cabins on property with a cozy front porch and swing out back.
The best part of capturing an engagement session for my couples is that we get to build repour prior to the wedding so we know each other well and comfortable around the camera too.
We concluded the session up at the barn where the receptions take place as well as the fire pit area near the market. If you have not been to Summerfield Farms before I highly recommend it. In addition to it being an event space, they also have live music, food trucks and beer on tap throughout the warm months.
