It has been a very busy month of August with projects for clients, but also included a studio move back to downtown Greensboro. I found an amazing space at 301 S Elm St at the corner of S Elm and Washington St in the heart of downtown and have been there for a few weeks now. I will be posting a more formal update and website revamp soon, but wanted to share some progress type images with you this month along with a ribbon cutting ceremony that The Greensboro Chamber of Commerce provided me with earlier this week.
I started looking for new spaces last month and came across The Guilford Building which is a historic building downtown and built in 1926. The suite that I decided on is located on the 5th floor with amazing North facing window light which is ideal for photography and also boasts an impressive view of uptown. Here are some before and after images. I decided to install new gray tone carpet with complimentary two tone gray walls for a calm and monochromatic look and feel.
The best part of being downtown is having the ability to offer in studio executive headshot work with the option of walking downstairs and using all of downtown as an amazing backdrop to put the subject against for a variety of looks captured in an efficient time. I have done this a few times already and having such fun with it! Another benefit of the space is I can then bring the subject back up the studio suite to download and preview on the wall mount TV and select their favorites together. That way the client has the ability to view and have a conversation with me about the best images which would be selected and then edited and delivered within a few business days. I will be updating my website next month with a new page called The Downtown Experience, stay tuned on those updates.
In addition to having my photography business since 2004, I have also been an active member of The Chamber of Commerce for over 12 years now and they were so kind to provide a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new space.
I look forward to sharing some more polished images of the new space soon and continue to grow and serve the Triad area of North Carolina. Please let us know how we can assist with your corporate and or personal photo needs as we move into the fall months of 2021.
