Congrats to the newlyweds, Meredith and Noah Greene. They were married late October of this year at the Barn at Valhalla. This awesome venue is located in Chapel Hill, NC and was my first time photographing a wedding there. I was invited to capture the rehearsal dinner on Friday and then full day coverage on Saturday afternoon.
I met with Meredith and Noah over a year ago when we shot their engagement session downtown and then shot her bridal session here at the barn a few months ago.
Micciche Photography celebrates 18 years in business and have known the bride's family for over 15 years. It was wonderful to hear from them when the engagement occurred and they decided to book my studio for their special day!
Please enjoy this highlight blog post of some of my favorite images so far in the post production process. I also included some of Meredith's jaw dropping bridal portrait images at the bottom of this page.
I could not ask for a better NC fall day of weather. The temperature was perfect and had the ability to utilize all parts of this unique venue. My assistant and I captured the men and women getting ready for the day and captured the ceremony from multiple angles.
The ceremony was perfect with a great balance of traditional elements and also the bride and groom exchanged their own vows written down on parchment paper. We all certainly felt the love between Meredith and Noah and so very happy for them and their families.
My photo assistant headed on to cocktail hour to photograph the guests and fun candids while I finished up the family formals and capitalized on the "golden hour" of sunshine left in the day. The video team and I took them out to the open field near the reception site for some amazing sun set photos.
The reception began with a grand entrance for Meredith and Noah, followed by some specials toasts from the bridal party and family. The meal that evening was amazing and then the DJ kicked off the festivities with the first dance and other formalities to then open the dance floor up to everyone. The DJ had really impressive skills with mixes on point and had the dance floor packed pretty much all night.
The rest of the evening went perfectly to plan and the event planner on site helped with orchestrating the sparkler send off which took place at 10pm, right after the couple's last dance in the barn. I look forward to sharing the entire wedding event with the newlyweds in a few short weeks at my studio for a personal preview on the big screen!
Meredith's bridal portrait was captured a few weeks before the wedding which allowed us to print and frame her favorite image to be displayed at the reception.
I have been patiently waiting to share these beautiful images with you!
